Save the Date: Annual Meeting is Feb. 13

The Annual Meeting for the Kingsgate 1&2 Homeowners Association will be held on Monday, February 13th, at 7PM at Our Redeemer Church on the corner of 116th Ave and NE 140th.  Come join your neighbors for a review of the past year’s accomplishments, a summary of our finances and an open discussion of our plans for 2012.

The annual meeting is an opportunity to provide input to your volunteer Board of Directors and learn how  you can get involved.  We strongly encourage all homeowners and residents of Kingsgate 1&2 to attend!

Park Director Position Opening

After many years of service, Heather Trautmann is stepping down as our Park Director, effective February.  We will all miss her dedication to serving the neighborhood and keeping the park in good condition, her active role on the Board, and her cheery disposition. The Park Director position oversees maintenance of our park facility, schedules use of the ball diamond in the spring, and coordinates pool and park parties during the summer.  If you would like to step up and become our next Park Director, please contact John Pabst.

On-Line Community Calendar

We now have an online calendar that reflects the happenings of our homeowner's association!  Reservations will be accepted in the spring for summer pool and park parties.  Please view the on-line calendar first to determine if a date is available for your party.  To reserve an open date, complete a reservation form and provide it to Heather Trautmann, together with the appropriate fees.  In the event of a conflict, the earliest received reservation form will take precedence.  Send your reservation request form to jhtrautmann <at> comcast.net

Kingsgate Yahoo Group

Have you been looking for a reliable babysitter right in the neighborhood? Or maybe someone nearby who can lend you a tool that you need? Would you like to share some of your garden produce or some fruit from your fruit trees? Or are you just looking for nearby neighbors who might share some of your interests? When the weather is cold and you can't get to the pool to connect with others, we bet some of you spend your time networking online. Cheryl Wheeler has set-up a Yahoo Group for anyone in the Kingsgate 1&2 community who is interested in joining. The purpose of the list is to provide an interactive online communication forum for community members. Yahoo Groups has a listserve (with a Daily Digest or Web Only options to keep your email inbox tidy), a calendar function, easy-to-set-up polls, photo storage capacity, and a place to keep shared files. The group has been set up as private (non-searchable on the Internet). This means that only administrator-approved members will see the information you post and you won't receive spam as a result of joining the group. If you're interested in joining the Yahoo Group, please email Cheryl at cherylfah @ yahoo.com to get connected with the list. Cheryl can also answer questions about how the group works if you're not sure if you want to join.
